Project Description:

Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, partnered with LSU students and Perkins and Will, to redesign and reimagine its current emergency department to better meet the needs of today’s patients and healthcare staff.

This project marked my first experience designing within a healthcare setting, working collaboratively in a team, and engaging directly with a real client, all within a half-semester timeline. Both challenging and rewarding, my primary focus areas included the emergency department entry and waiting room, as well as the staff lounge, where thoughtful design was essential to support comfort, efficiency, and well-being.
